These interviews offer different perspectives, considering the closeness and porosity of female masculinities and trans and non-binary identities. For this reason, we talk about the different environments in which each person navigates, such as the world of sports, music, the street, academia, art or drag.

We approach the different social and political challenges that may arise when embodying masculinity in a body to which it was not assigned. The interviews appear as notes, like a field notebook inviting reflection and analysis on concepts and experiences in search for ways of relating based on understanding and diversity. Through these notes, a sense of collectivity is created, not from the fact of having been assigned women at birth, but from the possibility of having transgressed that imposition.

“How would you define female masculinity?” It’s an example of the kind of questions that generate an intersection where theory and experience dialogue around queer issues.
